Gumpoldskirchen

What brought us to Gumpoldskirchen? Curiosity, friendship, a remarkable terroir that is completely different from that of the Kamptal, and exciting autochthonous grape varieties. Even in the days of the Habsburg empire, Gumpoldskirchen was known for its high quality wines. We try to keep this special heritage alive today by emphasising the character of such a legendary wine village through wines that express the terroir, the typicity of origin. Here, where alpine influences meet the Pannonian climate, we create long-living wines of depth and character. The origin-typical wines from the south of Vienna are Zierfandler and Rotgipfler. There also is a Burgundian influence, brought to the region during the Middle Ages, with St. Laurent, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
