Description
Origin
Dechant – The eastern slope immediately below the Käferberg, at 250 to 300 meters above sea level, is one of the few “red wine islands” in the Kamptal. The medium-heavy loess soil is easily warmed and well aerated, with heavy red-colored clay underneath, providing good growing conditions for the complex Burgundy variety. The vines, facing southeast, dry quickly in the morning, so that the sensitive Pinot Noir grapes can always be harvested healthy and ripe.
