Description
Origin
The thermal spa region south of Vienna has its own, regionally typical style, which a new generation of winegrowers is currently working to differentiate in a contemporary way. The vines of the Schellmann vineyard stand on stony and barren, sometimes heavy, loamy soils. The climate is Pannonian, with dry, hot summers and cold winters.
The Anninger is a mountain of 675 m height at the eastern most foothills of the Alps, on the Thermenlinie. It is located south of Vienna and is part of the Wienerwald. Gumpoldskirchen lies at the foot of the Anninger.
